Courtney Goldwitz is a graduate of Cypress Falls High School and has been training in dance for over 20 years with emphasis in ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical. She trained at multiple studios since the age of 5, including Hintze Dance Center in the Cypress Area. While attending high school at Cypress Falls, Courtney joined the Sky Dancer Drill Team and served as a Line Officer as well.
Upon graduation, she moved to College Station to attend Texas A&M University to pursue a degree in education. She graduated from Texas A&M University in May 2013 (whoop!) with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. She has obtained multiple certifications, including Generalist grades EC-6, Mathematics grades 8-12, English as a Second Language Supplemental grades EC-12, Physical Education grades EC-12, and Dance grades 8-12.
She has also obtained her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership in December of 2016 with a certification in Principal Leadership.
She has been in education since the Fall of 2013. She taught Algebra I for the first 4 years at Cypress Falls, then moved over to the Fine Arts Department in 2017 and became the Assistant Director of the Sky Dancers. In Spring of 2019, she became the Head Director of the Sky Dancers and is where she currently is today.
Courtney is married to her high school sweetheart, Ryan Goldwitz, and has 2 daughters, Olivia, and Allisen. They also have 4 fur babies together. They have 3 dogs, Lucy, Teddy, and Tucker and 1 cat, Mittens.
Courtney has truly enjoyed her time working with the Sky Dancers as their head director and is so grateful for her trusty sidekick and assistant director, Mrs. Beresford!
Caitlin Beresford is a graduate of Cypress Lakes High School where she was a junior lieutenant and co-captain of the Sterling Stars Drill Team. She started dancing at Carol Ehler Dance School at the age of 3, and continued to train with the studio for 15 years.
After graduation she went to Texas A&M University (whoop!) for one year. Caitlin then transferred to Kilgore College for two years where she was a member of the 74th line of the World Famous Kilgore College Rangerettes under the direction of Dana Blair and Shelley Wayne. The Rangerette organization provided numerous performing and traveling opportunities, including NFL games, the Cotton Bowl, State Fair of Texas, Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago, St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Ireland, University of Edinburgh in Scotland, Revels, local performances, and all Kilgore Ranger football halftimes. After her two wonderful years at Kilgore College Caitlin transferred back to Texas A&M where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in 2017 with a Dance concentration and two minors. Caitlin is married to her high school sweetheart, William Beresford, and they have three kids together. Their son Liam keeps everyone busy with his baseball schedule and their daughter, Carter, loves the “dancin’ girls” and will be taking dance classes soon! Baby Luke was born in March of 2024 and is the perfect and most snuggly addition to their family!
Caitlin absolutely loves being the Sky Dancer assistant director and working alongside Mrs. Goldwitz!
